The first round presented the traditional slow start of tank because it only won one punch in the opening lap. Lamont Roach continued to take the lead in the second round while he was advancing cautiously forward.

Davis started the 3rd round, landing a few solid strokes to the body, but as the Tour ended, Roach responded by winning a right hand. In the fourth round, Davis exposed his lateral movement, and when he planted his feet, he connected to a clean left hand followed by a right to the body.

In the last seconds of the fourth round, while Davis and Roach were in a melee, the referee told them to hit and go out. Roach won a sneaky right hand in the melee, and while the tank turned away to complain about the referee, Roach won a clean left hand.

After Davis won two left hands consecutive to the 5th round, he and Roach were involved in another body to body. Davis pushed her right shoulder and landed under the chin of her opponent. Roach immediately replied by connecting with a short right hand.

In the middle of the fight, Davis accelerated the rhythm while he connected to a number of left hands. Roach became extremely courageous around 7 while he was standing in his pocket and exchanged punches with Davis. In the eighth round, Lamont Roach had a great moment when he landed a right hand that supported Davis.

The controversial moment of combat occurred at 2:18 in the 9th round. After Roach struck Davis with a right hand followed suddenly, Davis took a step back and took a knee. Davis jogging in his corner to get his face.

The referee warned Davis declaring what he did as a knockdown, but fortunately for Davis, the referee did not rule him like a knockdown. While the match continued, Tank loaded his gunshots and threw them with bad intentions.

However, Roach was able to take the blows and answer by winning his own punches. During the championship rounds, the challenge confident Lamont Roach was held in the pocket and continued to succeed in winning his right hand.

At the end of the 12 -round championship fight, the tension level was at a record level when everyone was looking forward to hearing the official scores total. After 36 minutes of action, a judge marked the 115-113 fight, for Davis, but this card was rejected while the other two judges both marked the fight 114-114.

While the match was declared zero, everyone immediately followed the overthrow which was not called a Knockdown. During her interview after combat, Gervonta Davis gave his explanation with regard to what happened during this controversial moment.

“I just had my hair two days ago and she put fat in my sh * t,” said Davis. “So, the sh * t was as you knew, like when you sweat and things like that, and the fat comes on my face, it burned my eyes shit, why huer you as I say bullshit * t? As if they are real facts. Go guy. “”

If the referee would have applied the rule and the Knockdown was properly called, then it would have been a 10-8 round for Roach, but unfortunately, the knockdown was not called and two of the three judges obtained the 9th round 10-9 in favor of Gervonta Davis.

The failed call for the referee injured Lamont Roach on the dashboards and he gave a bad look. For example, if the roles were reversed and Lamont Roach took a knee because he had fat in his eyes, it would certainly have been called a knockdown.
