Artificial intelligence can eliminate the need for research analysts in the future, AlibabaThe president of S Joe Tsai said Wednesday at CNBC’s Converge in vivo Singapore event.
“Variable Income Research Analysts can be completely replaced … you can ask you to organize a report on NVIDIA or Apple, and do a great job,” David Faber de CNBC told David Faber.
However, that does not mean that analysts’ roles will be completely eliminated, he said during the two -day CNBC event at Jewel Changi airport.
“I don’t think it will completely replace human beings. Actually, it will improve the quality of work,” he said.
“I think that research quality can really be improved if the machine can do many of the things related to worldly research, and humans can apply their judgment and make better recommendations.”
AI can also fundamentally change the practice of the law, he said, citing his own background as a lawyer.
“When you write a contract … the whole document has to fit well, every sentence, every definition, has to fit together. Well, AI can do a lot of that, I would say most of them,” he said. “Does that mean that in the future, lawyers will be replaced by AI? Not necessarily.”
He said that when customers hire “sophisticated lawyers”, they are really asking for advice.
“The lawyer is not something technical, or black and white, it is a trial,” he said. “I still believe that these works can be improved by AI instead of being replaced.”
