Goulding admitted that he was nervous ahead of his high profile concert as William and Kate’s Wedding singer.

“Interpreting the first dance of the night, ‘Your Song’ was stressful,” he recalled. “But William and Kate were very grateful. They are an incredible couple and they told me how much they enjoyed it. My band and I stayed at the reception all night, and it is something that I will treasure forever.”

Goulding then gave William a serenade and Kate again with his 2011 song “Starry Eyed” and some of his other original songs. He also made covers of famous songs, including “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers and “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder.

In 2022, Goulding met with William and Kate when he acted in the prince Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony.
