The light competitor Floyd Schofield (19-0, 13 kos) completely wiped out Tevin Farmer (33-9-1, 8 ko) by a first-round technical KO on Saturday evening in their fight under a sub-pace planned at 10 laps at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Farmer, 36, came out of the blocks with slow research, legs with his jaw, leaning forward in front of the young Power-Puncher Schofield. The former farmer of featherweight champion IBF did not seem prepared and he paid the price.
Schofield unleashed a straight line that hit the farmer on the canvas. When Tevin stood up, he looked straight, making the referee known that he was fine. It was not. Schofield continued it like a hungry shark, connecting with three big strokes to lower the farmer for the second time.
Surprisingly, the referee, Gerald White, allowed combat to continue despite the fact that farmers do not seem to be mentally present. Schofield then tagged him with three booming punches, leaving the referee of other choices than stopping the competition. The weather was 1:18 of the first round.
