Doordash asked a judge of the Supreme Court in California to dismiss a lawsuit submitted by Uber, which accuses the food supply company of the oppressed competition by intimidated restaurant owners into exclusive offers.
Doorash argues in its movement Uber’s claim has no earnings on all fronts. On a post on his website On Friday, Doordash said: “The lawsuit is nothing more than a cynical and calculated fear tactics of a frustrated competitor who wants to avoid real competition. It is a disappointing behavior of a company that is once known to take part in the advantages of its products and innovation.”
In his post, Doorash added that it “vigorously” defend itself and the company as a positioned one who “arrives violently and yet fairly to offer dealers extraordinary value”.
A hearing was set on July 11th in front of the California Superior Court in San Francisco County.
Above submitted his complaint against Doordash in February. The alleged Doordash, which has the largest proportion of food contact in the United States, threatens restaurants with several million dollar punishments or the removal or downgrading of the position of the company in the Doordash app.
Uber answered the Doordash request in a statement sent to Techcrunch.
“It seems that the Doorash team has difficulty understanding the content of our complaint,” says Uber’s e -mail declaration. “If restaurants are forced to choose between unfair terms or retaliation, this is not a competition – it is compulsive. Uber will continue to stand up for retailers and for a flat field. We look forward to presenting the facts in court.”
Uber applied for legal proceedings in his original complaint. The company has not stated how much damage it requires.
Separated, deliveryoo confirmed On Friday, Doordash offered to buy the European Food Delivery Company for 3.6 billion dollars.
