Coach Stephen Edwards estimated that last Saturday’s revenge match between the unat-contested champion of light heavyweights Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol should have been marked as a draw or a narrow 115-113 for one or the other guys. Edwards did not understand how a judge scored 8-4 (116-112) in favor of Bivo.

The judges obtained a majority decision of 12 rounds in favor of Bivo with scores of 115-113, 116-112 and 114-114.
Edwards thinks that the judges did not give Betbiev (21-1, 20 KB) for the first round, that he saw him win. Indeed, the judges banished every first laps in favor of Bivo, who did not correspond to real combat. It’s not just the first round. In addition, the judgment crew gave Bivo many towers that he seemed to lose.
If you are in conspiracy theories to explain why Bivo received a victory last Saturday evening in a fight that seemed to be a 114-114 draw, you can find something.
Some fans on social networks believe that there was a bivol program to receive victory because, on the business, there is potentially more money to win with him holding the four belts. These are the reasons:
One thing that disturbed Edwards was the comment of the Dazn’s announcement team who worked the fight of Beterbiev against Bivol 2 last Saturday. He estimated that they favored Bivo throughout, even with the reruns of the rounds. This is something I noticed too.
I had to turn off the sound Because what they said did not correspond to real combat. They all looked like a section of cheerful cheerleader bivo. It was weird. You could say who they favored, and not only during the fight. Even before the start of the match, they seemed to be preferential to Bivo. It is difficult for commentators to hide their bias, but the crew that worked the fight has done a bad job to do so.
“I don’t like the way advertisers (Dazn) favor everything bivo does. In the first part of the fight, Beterbiev had a good trick and they showed Bivo highlights. The same thing happened in the first fight, “said Stephen Edwards Millcity boxingSpeaking of the favoritism that Dazn commentators showed for Dmitry Bivo in his fight against Artur Beterbiev last Saturday evening.
“I said to myself:” If it’s close, they will give it to Bivo. For me, there was no separation between the two. The fight looked like a draw. In the section, I thought that Beterbiev won the tenth, Bivol won the eleventh and that Beterbiev won the twelfth.
“The fight was in balance by going down in the section. I have no problem with 6-6, which is 114-114. I have no problem with 115-113 anyway. I felt that Beterbiev took control of the backgrounds in the middle and Bivol returned. It was a type of back and forth. I think Beterbiev did not receive credit for the previous rounds, “said Edwards.
It was a dead fight. This is why it is disappointing to see two judges to be mistaken and give Bivo a non -deserves victory. The commentator of the team working on the fight on the Dazn broadcasting sounded total domination for Bivo.
“In the first round, I thought Beterbiev won, but someone said Bivol was up 30-27,” said Edwards. “I felt that Beterbiev might have won the first round. Many have not happened. It was probably another draw, but I thought Beterbiev was a bit ahead. Then, when he (Beterbiev) cut him to the last round, I thought it would be 6-6 or 7-5.
“I was actually shocked to hear 116-112. Neither guys won eight laps, “said Edwards about the judge, Mike Fitzgerald, who marked the 8-4 fight in favor of Bivol.
“Commentators (DAZN) must be completely objective. I have the impression that, often, they are biased. I feel like I have a program. For two fighting in a row, they promote bivol in a coherent way, even with the reruns.
