Is Europe prepared for war?

For countries in the far -east of Europe suite, Russia is currently threatening and looming on the horizon – and they are preparing in the event that Moscow has once again decided to test the defensive determination of NATO.

With Russia strengthening its military presence in the region and committing to the United States towards the European Defense Agreement, the coalition and its members are racing to build defenses.

Countries are recruiting, gaining more weapons and enhancing their borders. Finland has accelerated the construction of a 200 km fence and enhanced monitoring and patrols.

Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania build the Baltic Sea defense line consisting of concrete hideouts and anti-tank trench over 600 miles from the border with Russia and its ally Belarus-the most exposed part of the eastern border of NATO.

Lithuania is particularly weak. It is bordered by the south by Russian Exclave and Suwalki Gap – the only region that binds the Baltic countries to the rest of NATO.

Poland has been building defenses of 2.3 billion euros to form the “East Shield” – the largest attempt to strengthen the eastern borders of the country since 1945.

To the east, Ukraine shows the destruction that occurred when Russia is invaded.

The result is determined there what Moscow is doing after that, former NATO president Anders Vogue Rasmussen warns. “If Putin gets any success in Ukraine, it will not stop there.”
