Mark Zuckerberg Already Knows Your Life. Now He Wants His AI to Run It

Mark Zuckerberg not only wants Meta in the field of artificial intelligence. He wants to build the AI that leads you.

In a memo to employees who were viewed by Gizmodo on June 30, the Meta CEO announced the creation of Meta Superintelligence Labs, an important restructuring of the company’s AI efforts under a single, ambitious goal: transmission of personal superintelligence to everyone.

Forget chatbots. Zuckerberg’s vision is much larger. He relies on the fact that AI will not only answer your questions within a few years or will write your e -mails. Your schedule will manage to anticipate your needs, keep your home, help you make decisions and possibly even keep your career. Let’s call it the subject of life, driven by Meta.

“If the pace of the AI progress accelerates, the development of superintelligence comes into view,” wrote Zuckerberg. “This will be the beginning of a new era for humanity, and I am fully obliged to do what it takes to lead meta.”

The step is considered a direct challenge for competitors. “The start of Meta Superintelligence Labs is not just an announcement. It is a statement: Meta will not be satisfied with second place in the AI,” commented Alon Yamin, co -founder and CEO of the Plagiarism Copyleaks. He added: “Meta and Mark clearly see this as a moment for make or break for the AI leadership.”

Bloomberg reported on Monday in the memo. A META spokesman has confirmed its content on Gizmodo since then.

To achieve this, Zuckerberg puts together a kind of AI Avengers team. The new employees represent a big talent coup:

  • Alexandr Wang, the founder of Skala Ai and one of the most connected operators of the KI delivery chain, joins Meta as a new Chief AI officer.
  • Nat Friedman, the former CEO of Github and an Elite -Ki investor, comes on board to operate AI products and applied research.
  • Shengjia Zhao, one of the fabricists from GPT-4, recently left Openaai to connect the new laboratory from Meta.

These are power employees, people who build calls for building up faster and thinking in front of the market for years. Zuckerberg says that more big names are on the move.

Meta already has a strong foundation with Lama, its open source family of large language models. The latest versions are now operating the META AI, which the company claims to reach over 1 billion monthly users on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.

But that was only phase one.

Zuckerberg now wants to create a new generation of models that are able to describe the insiders as a limit. In simple words, this means AI that argue, plan, adapt, adapt and act with little or no human lessons. If this is successful, this would not only make Meta competitive with Openaai or Google Deepmind. It would make Meta the home of the world’s first really general personal intelligence. This is the type of AI that not only answers your questions. Your life runs.

Meta does not start from the front. The company already knows more about them on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp than most of their friends. It has spent the last 15 years to quietly build and follow a map of billions of people, with whom they are talking about, what they look at, what they say and what they buy. This treasure in intimate data is now fuel for the next phase: a AI that not only serves them, but also knows them deeply enough to lead their lives better than they can.

In Tech Speak, Zuckerberg’s vision for “Agentic Ai” or AI, which can take measures on its name. Imagine an ever infinitely capable, personalized intelligence that lives on your phone, in your glasses and all devices on your phone.

  • They do not plan any meetings, it does.
  • They don’t organize their trip, they have already booked it.
  • You don’t wonder which job you have to apply for. It is already working on your curriculum vitae and simulates the interview.
  • You don’t ask what you should wear, it saw your calendar and put on your outfit.

Meta is uniquely positioned to deliver this personal AI brain of the mass market. In contrast to smaller laboratories, it has a global user base of billions, access to more behavioral data than almost every company on earth and a massive computer infrastructure. And with Zuckerberg’s controlling shares there are no shareholders who slow down things.

But this also raises urgent questions. Who controls this intelligence? What will it be priority? What happens if a machine knows your wishes better than you and this machine works for a company?

Zuckerberg believes that Meta can trust that they build and deliver to the masses. However, the next chapter in AI is not about clever apps or productivity hacks. It will be a struggle about who programs the brain that programs it.
