Shakur Stevenson vs. William Zepeda: Promoter Eddie Hearn plans an end-of-the-round stop for Shakur, highlighting his power of darling underestimated

The promoter Eddie Hearn chooses the WBC light weight champion Shakur Stevenson, to separate William Zepeda, and put him in the last laps of their fight on July 12 in Queens, New York.

Shakur’s punching power

Hearn says that fans do not realize that Shakur (23-0, 10 kos) is a permanent that has just large technical skills. His last fight against Josh Padley showed his power when he stopped it with a body shot last February.

What prevents Stevenson from being more a perforator are his brittle hands. He has had hand problems for some time now, and he only seems capable of throwing with body power. It is a safe area for a fighter with fragile hands to throw.

“I actually think that Shakur will stop Zepeda. I know that people have the perception that Shakur is not a punker. He is technically fantastic, but I think that Zepeda’s style will suit him,” Eddie Hearn told Ring magazine YouTube Channel, predicting a victory for Shakur Stevenson over William Zepeda.

This direct elimination victory that Shakur won in his last fight against his late replacement opponent, Josh Padley, may have given Hearn a false impression. It was an old -fashioned old -fashioned match. Hearn chose a part-time boxer in the United Kingdom as a filling when the opponent initially programmed, Floyd Schofield, withdrew. With hindsight, it was a lucky break for Shakur.

If Stevenson stands in his pocket and tries to have Zepeda eliminated, he will have a machine traveled with combinations of the Mexican brawler. The only way that Shakur can exist in the pocket against Zepeda is if he does a lot of detention as Tevin Farmer did to survive.

“He’s going to take it.

Stevenson body shooting strategy

Stevenson will not be able to stand in front of Zepeda and take care of bodies as he did against the electrician Padley. It will not work. He will be too struck and will be forced to get out of his pocket to escape the avalanche of punches that Zepeda will launch. Standing there, there would be trouble for Shakur.
