Richardson Hitchins says he considers Teofimo Lopez against Arnold Barboza Jr. as a fight 60-40 or 50-50 for their 12 round match on May 2 in Times Square in New York. Hitchins believes that Teo has talent and athletics that goes for him, but is not strategic like Barboza Jr.
He does not fight with a large game plan like Barboza Jr. and sometimes disintegrates mentally when it comes to adversity. We have seen that in Lopez’s fights against George Kambosos Jr., Sandor Martin and Jamaine Ortiz. He was like a full basket In these matches. When things go to Teofimo, it is excellent, but it takes place when its opponents begin to succeed.
Teofimo (21-1, 13 kos) will have its title WBO Light Welterweight at stake against the Barboza Jr. Invainu (32-0, 11 KB) on the map, as well as a potential fight against the champion of 147 LB IBF Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis in October. Losing against Barboza Jr. could lead Teofimo not to fight, but it could work in favor of Hitchins. It will probably be the Plan B option to make Turki Alashikh use if Lopez loses against Barboza Jr.
Turki Alashikh suggested today that the result of Teo, Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney’s fighting on the May 2 map will determine what he has for them in October. In other words, they were able to win so that its planned fights occur. It is a lot of pressure on each of them, but especially for Lopez because it is the least effective in managing stress as Ryan and Haney.
I think it’s a 60-40 or 50-50 fight. 60-40 for Teo or 50-50, ”said Richardson Hitchins to BoxingSpeaking of Teofimo Lopez against Arnold Barboza Jr. Combat on May 2 in New York. “Barboza is not flashy. It is a little ordinary, but it has a good timing and has a lot of experience.
“I look at him and I say to myself,” He is solid. Barboza is solid. I was very impressed by the way he beat Jack Catterall because he has a style where he can hurt anyone. Barboza came with the right match plan. So, it’s a guy who comes with a strong match plan, and I think Teofimo is based more on his talent and athletics.
“I don’t think he’s a strategic guy. I think Barboza has been fighting for so long that they were with the first row. I think Teofimo is in a fight, “said Hitchins.
“I think he is definitely in a fight. It is the one where I would not be surprised if it follows in a way. This is a very good fight, “said the advertiser of the ring David Diamante about the Teofimo confrontation against Barboza Jr.” It’s very competitive. “
