The excuse of Gervonta Davis’ ‘Hair Grease’ attracts criticism: was Lamont Roach stolen?

The excuse of hair fat from Gervonta Davis to explain why he kicked up against Lamont Roach in the ninth round of their fight last Saturday evening, it did not go well with fans. They see this as weak stuff from the light champion of the WBA Tank Davis (30-0-1, 28 KB), who got out with one in this Brooklyn, New York Barclays Center fight.

The “fat” complaint

The rules must be in place to prevent combatants from being authorized to sneak Knocks and disqualifications in the future saying that they had fat in their eyes.

Davis played the referee as a violin, saying that he had to wipe the fat with his eyes when he knee. Of all the excuses that the fighters use to explain the overthrow, it takes the cake. If it had worked the fight as a reference, I would have been like a baseball referee, ‘You came out.“I would have a disqualified tank so quickly that his head would have turned. Take a knee after being struck, then go away in your corner immediately after is DQ stuff. You cannot do this junk, but he did it and you got out of it.

It is hard to believe that the referee, Steve Willis, bought it because he had to know that there would be a reaction from the fans. For them, he looked incompetent or showing a favoritism towards the “box face” in the United States

The Ringside Commission should have said something to pay tribute to Roach for what should have been a knockdown in the ninth, because it had a huge impact on the result. By the inaction of the referees, the fight ended up being a majority draw at 12 rounds instead of a victory for Roach (25-1-2, 10 ko).

Tank did not seem to feel too guilty of having been gifted by his draw after the fight. He said that he would not give Roach a revenge match then, and suggested that he could fight Youtuber Jake Paul afterwards. I do not know how a fight like it could even happen due to their size differences. Do not be surprised if this is the case and if it is sanctioned as counting the archives of the two.

“It is a great counterpunch and a very high boxing IQ,” said Chris Algieri to CombinationSpeaking of Lamont Roach after his draw in 12 rounds against Gervonta Davis last Saturday evening.

“He (the Gardon) always,” I hit stronger than people think. I struck stronger than my album says it. He amazed the tank several times. Tank looked like the guy with heavier hands, but Lamont had the best chin. So, if tank strikes him very hard and the guy can take it, it doesn’t really matter. “”
