More than 130 beneficial organizations and other NGOs are asking that the controversial Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) Israeli and backed by the United States be closed.
More than 500 Palestinians have been killed while they were looking for help since the GHF began operating at the end of May, after the three -month Gaza block of Israel, the organizations said. Almost 4,000 have been injured.
Organizations, including Oxfam, Save the Children and Amnesty, say that Israeli forces and armed groups “routinely” open fire against the Palestinians seeking help.
Israel denies that its soldiers deliberately shoot the aid receptors, and has defended the GHF system, saying that it provides direct assistance to the people who need it, without ignoring the interference of Hamas.
The Joint Declaration on Tuesday of some of the world’s largest beneficial organizations says that the Foundation is violating all humanitarian work standards, even for forcing two million people to crowded and militarized areas where they face daily shots.
Since the GHF began operating in Gaza, there have been almost daily reports of Israeli forces who kill people seeking help in these sites, doctors, eyewitnesses and the Ministry of Health led by Hamas.
The GHF help distribution system replaced 400 aid distribution points that operated during the high temporal fire of Israel-Ahamas With only four distribution sites controlled by the Armythree at the southwest end of Gaza and one in the center of Gaza.
“Today, the Palestinians in Gaza face an impossible option: die of hunger or risk being shot while trying to reach food to feed their families,” says the statement.
“Huérphan children and caregivers are among the dead, with children damaged in more than half of the attacks against civilians in these sites.”
The GHF aid system has been convicted of UN agencies. On Friday, UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, called him “inherently insecure.”
From the beginning, the UN condemned the plan, saying that “it would militarize” the help, omit the existing distribution network and force the Gazanes to make long trips through dangerous territory to obtain food.
The Israeli army has He said he is examining the “damaged” reports while approaching the GHF help distribution centers.
According to a report by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz on Friday, the unnamed soldiers of the Israel Defense forces (FDI) said that they were ordered to shoot unarmed civilians near the help distribution sites to move them away or disperse them.
The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, strongly rejected the report, qualifying accusations as “malicious falsehoods.”
The Israeli army also denied the accusations of deliberately shooting the Palestinians waiting to collect humanitarian aid.
In a statement on Monday, the FDI said it was reorganizing access to the sites and this would include a new “fencing” and signage, including directional and warning signals to improve the operational response.
But the help organizations of more than 130 said that GHF “is not a humanitarian response” for the Gazans.
“In the midst of severe hunger and hunger conditions, many families tell us that they are now too weak to compete for food rations,” the groups said.
