The president of Poland, Andrzej Doubt, has repeated his call to the United States to base nuclear weapons on Polish soil.

In the presidential palace in Warsovia, he told me that he would make Poland stronger and more safe, since Russia faces.

Seen from Poland, President Putin’s Russia is a clear and present danger.

President doubt, who is also commander in chief of the Polish armed forces in rapid expansion, said that current Russia is at least as aggressive as the former Soviet Union.

He condemned what he called the imperial greed of Moscow.

Positioning US nuclear weapons in Poland would be considered by President Putin as a provocation.

But the president doubts the proposal as a defensive measure to strengthen deterrence.

He said it would be an answer to the 2023 decision of President Putin to deploy Russian tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, which has a border with Poland and Ukraine.

“It is the same Russia that is attacking Ukraine today, which is an aggressor, who is killing civilians, who is bombing civil settlements,” he told me.

“And he is moving his nuclear weapons from Russia’s depths to Belarus.”

“This defensive tactic is a vital response to Russia’s behavior, relocating nuclear weapons in the NATO area. Poland is ready to organize this nuclear weapon.”

The President also welcomed the proposals made by the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, to extend the umbrella of French nuclear weapons to other NATO states.

The United States already revolves around 10,000 troops at the same time through Poland.

When asked how the presence of nuclear weapons would cause Poland to be safer, he doubts that he would deepen the United States commitment to Polish security.

“Each strategic type of American infrastructure, infrastructure and NATO, which we have in our soil is strengthening the inclination of the United States and the North Atlantic Alliance to defend this territory.”

Poland spends almost 5% of its national income in defense. That is more than any other NATO member, including the United States.

Last week, Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk pronounced a speech in Parliament warning that a “deep change in American geopolitics” was putting Poland and Ukraine in an “objectively more difficult situation.”

Prime Minister Tusk requested greater increases in Polish defense spending and proposed that Poland should consider reaching “opportunities related to nuclear weapons.”

Tusk is in the center on the left, unlike President Due, who is on the right and is considered a friend of Donald Trump.

Referring to the refusal of President Putin on Thursday to immediately agree the High Fire of 30 days in Ukraine, he doubts that he was sure that the president of the United States had a plan, as expressed, to “encourage the Russian side to act reasonably.”

He will not criticize Trump or accept that his actions and words have thrown doubts about the commitment of the United States with article 5, the mutual defense clause of the North Atlantic Treaty.

But it has much more harder words for Putin’s Russia than Donald Trump ever uses.

And supports that the EU is applied to Russian assets for a value of around 200 billion euros that have frozen in European banks.

“I think it is obvious that Russian assets collected and locked in banks in Western Europe should be used to support Ukraine, and should be a double support,” he says.

“First, Ukraine should be supported to defend against Russian aggression. And secondly, this should be used to support Ukraine reconstruction.”

“I can’t imagine that after the destruction of Ukraine, Russia can simply remove this money without paying war repairs and compensation.”
