Trump-Zelenskyy clash fuelled by years of bad blood

Donald Trump admitted that his relationship with Volodimir Zelinski grew “slightly two drives” before the Ukrainian President’s visit to the White House this week.

But this mysterious stress in the relationship between the two men erupted on Friday to a complete fight in the oval office, which reflects the bad blood that Trump drained towards Zelinski nearly six years ago.

The extraordinary diplomatic collapse in Washington will raise new questions about Trump’s ability to mediate peace talks with Russia – and will lead to new doubts about America’s commitment to guarantee security for its European allies.

But it also revealed a level of personal hostility, which is due to their initial interactions during the first period of the US President, and Washington led a new election in Ukraine that could lead to the expulsion of Zelinsky.

Trump’s contempt for Ukrainian President has his roots in his first phone call in 2019, when Zelenskyy pushed in vain to dirt dirt on Joe Biden Hunter’s business in the country.

Trump called the conversation “perfect”, but it was mainly formed from his first isolation by the House of Representatives. After Russia’s full invasion of Ukraine in 2022, with Biden at the White House, Trump appeared as a leading critic of Kev from side lines. JD Vance, who is now a vice president, skeptical of aid to Ukraine for his political rise, initially as Sunator in Ohio.

On Friday at the Oval Office, Trump and Fase Fose to Zelinski were subjected to a series of fragile, and his general reprimand, then forced him to leave the White House before signing a deal to hand over a share of natural resources in Ukraine, which was the key to paving the way for the continued support of the United States amid peace talks with Russia.

Zelenskyy tried to correct things with Trump during the 2024 presidential campaign where he seems likely to return to the White House, but some of his efforts have led to reverse results.

In one of the visits last year, Zelinski visited a weapons factory in Skranton, Pennsylvania, accompanied by Democrats only during a tour of a major disobedient country. This sparked protest from Mike Johnson, the President of the Republican House of Representatives, who called him “election intervention” at that time, with the resentment of the visit on its way to the White House on Friday.

“I went to Pennsylvania and carried the opposition in October. He presented some words of appreciation to the United States of America and the president who is trying to save your country,”

Trump Trump, and Ukrainian bombing for lack of gratitude. “I gave you the spear to take out all these tanks. Obama gave you sheets. You should be grateful.”

The stock exchange was held with circulating television cameras and senior officials, including Foreign Minister Marco Rubio, sitting and spitting.

Vans’s intervention was particularly amazing-it was very unusual for the vice president to jump into a strong discussion with a foreign leader in front of the president.

Jeffrey Angel, presidential historian at the University of South Mituste, said that the fact that Trump was “quietly sat” while Vans was arguing with Zelinski suggesting that he agreed to be the vice president “the attack dog” in the conversation. “It seems completely organized,” he added.

White House officials and Trump’s allies insist that Zelinski caused this deal by “disrespect” the president during the discussion.

I talked to Zelinski this morning. . . “President Trump was in a very good mood last night,” Lindsey Graham, Senate member of South Carolina, told reporters after the meeting on Friday.

“Am I embarrassed by Trump? I was not proud of the president. I was very proud of the JD Vance that was standing for our country.”

“I was shocked, I was shocked because President Zelinsky will come to the oval office and act like this,” said US Treasury Secretary Scott Beesen, who led negotiations on the United States Minerals deal, which was not signed, said Bloomberg television.

Meanwhile, Dan Skafino, a higher administrative official, mocked Zelinski frankly by publishing the lunch list with Trump, which the Ukrainian delegation did not attend, saying that the White House employees will eat it instead.

The scrap at the Oval Office angered many American allies in Europe. It will be particularly disturbing Emmanuel Macron, the French President, and Mr. Kerr Starmer, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, who visited Trump this week in an attempt to push him towards more appropriate positions for Kev – including US security guarantees to the country that Trump has fought as unnecessary.

In the United States, Democrats exploded what they saw as the lowest new level in Trump’s one -month foreign policy, accusing his administration of abandoning Moscow and reprimanding a partner in a way that causes traditional conservatives wearing.

“Former President Ronald Reagan and the late Senator John McCain rolled in their graves,” said Dick Dorbin, Democratic Senator in Illinois.
