Just over four months after the last two people for the last time, Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol have had an immediate revenge match, in competition once again for undisputed supremacy at 175 years. The last time in October, Beterbiev received a majority decision of 12 rounds to become the first undensumed champion of light heavyweights in the modern era 4 of the belt.
The revenge match occurred in the same place as their first meeting, in The Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in a fight that was broadcast in the world on Dazn.
In their first fight, Bivol took a better start and generally did a better job in the first half of the fight, while Beterbiev finished stronger and closed stronger overall. It was a story of two fights, in some respects. The revenge match, however, had a little different flow and flow this time. Bivol has jumped again at a quick start where his leg play, his speed and his superior athletics shone. But Beterbiev began to apply effective pressure earlier at that time, and in the middle of the competition, Betbiev seemed to have the momentum on his side. But Bivol showed an exceptional reserve reservoir, and it was he who was generally in control and did a better job the second half of the fight this time.
After 12 cycles of action at the level of the elite, this time Bivol was that which received a majority decision. With victory, Bivol has become the new world champion of undisputed heavyweights.
